Welcome

I started out as a mural painter and special paint finisher (marbling, wood-graining, stencilling etc). I worked all round the country in private homes, restaurants, hotels and public spaces. As well as this I also ran workshops for groups and individuals.

In 2001 I had the opportunity to live and work in Japan for a year. I enjoyed it so much I ended up staying for 3 years before moving to South Korea. While there, I was given the opportunity to exhibit my work at Heyri Art Village in Paju, a renowned art and literary area near Seoul. I returned to the UK in 2008.

My paintings incorporate both traditional techniques and those used in my work as a special paint finisher. My influences are nature and texture and I tend to be mostly drawn to the sky and water.

Last year I began producing greeting cards and selling prints of my photos. This proved to be very successful and since then I have become more involved in this side of my art.

Some photos remain as they were taken, others are enhanced. For the framed photographs, I first transfer them on to fabric and then mount them. The frames are white washed wood. As well as single images I also produce multiples in one frame.
